Our API allows developers to access features of p.ly without using our website, in a programmatic way. Anyone can easily integrate p.ly directly into their website or other applications.
Usage method:
Our p.ly method calls are made over the internet by sending HTTP GET requests to the p.ly API REST server.
Available methods:
* shorten
Having the parameters :
- url (required) : the url encoded URL
- output (optional) : the output of the response message. You can use 'json' or 'xml' (default value).
* expand
Having the parameters :
- code (required) : the redirection code without the http://p.ly/ part.
- output (optional) : the output of the response message. You can use 'json' or 'xml' (default value).
Call usage examples:
http://p.ly/api/shorten?url=YOUR_URL
http://p.ly/api/shorten?url=YOUR_URL&output=json
http://p.ly/api/expand?code=REDIRECTION_CODE
Response examples (output as XML) :
<error>Domain blocked</error>
